"Discover How Your Lost or Stolen Passwords Could
Be Costing You $1,000s In Identity Theft...

...And Learn The Secret To Creating Secure, Unique, SAFER Passwords You Can EASILY Remember --
But Nobody Else Can Guess!"

From: Brian Dibbins,

Dear Friend,

Passwords are annoying aren't they?

If you use simple passwords then your information is at risk, but if you use complex passwords then you can't remember them a week later! It's a classic 'catch-22' problem - but I've got the solution!

How would you like to be able to easily remember a password like 'Sy90+5m48+70y7'? Wouldn't you agree that it's a lot more secure than the usual passwords people use such as; password1, abc123, myspace1, blink182, qwertyuiop, etc?

What is your password problem?

Safer Passwords Bullet   Are you looking for the best passwords for your online banking and other accounts - some super duper ultra passwords that will help keep you safe from identity thieves and fraudsters?
Safer Passwords Bullet  Do you need to change passwords like your MSN Hotmail, MySpace, AIM, AOL or Yahoo email password?
Safer Passwords Bullet Are you often stuck at a login page thinking to yourself “I forgot my password... AGAIN!”.
Safer Passwords Bullet Do you find thinking of new passwords difficult or that you often forget new passwords? Do you CURSE when you get that monthly reminder to 'change password now'?
Safer Passwords Bullet Have you ever been stuck at a bank ATM or EFTPOS checkout because you forgot the PIN number for your credit card?
Safer Passwords Bullet Do you keep your password written down on a note hidden under your keyboard or in the back of your appointments diary?

If you answered YES to any of the questions above, then you've come to the right place!

You are going to learn about a password SYSTEM that will make it SIMPLE for you to remember unique passwords for ALL of your accounts.

So no more forgetting your passwords, no more re-using passwords over and over again, and.. most importantly, no more weak passwords that are easy to crack!

You'll be using SAFER, more SECURE passwords than you've ever used before to protect your identity - AND you'll even find them easy to remember!

How would you like to be able to use a 30 character password like this one? It will be CHILDS PLAY for you to remember! F545y40f8f0+(4nn(174)++9+4m4(3

You CAN'T afford to put this off or ignore it - Identity theft and identity fraud are serious issues, and it's far more widespread than you probably think.

For example; TWO out of TWELVE everyday people that I asked to review my password system told me later that they have been victims of identity theft! (I couldn't begin to calculate the odds of that occurring.)

You might have come to this site looking for a different answer, but before you go back to searching for it, you owe it to yourself to read on. If learning more about using a safer passwords system can help you avoid becoming a statistic, then isn't that worth a few minutes of your time?  Speaking of statistics. have a look at these...

IDENTITY THEFT

FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION REPORT-2005: in America there were 255,565 Identity Theft complaints - that works out to an average of nearly ONE identity theft complaint every TWO minutes in the United States alone!

According the US Federal Trade Commission's Identity Theft Survey Report 2003 (regarding misuse of credit cards and other existing accounts): "...victims estimated that they had spent $500 on average to deal with their ID Theft experience." It also took them an average of 30 hours resolving their problems.

In addition, victims of the 'New Accounts and Other Frauds'; type of ID Theft "estimated that they had spent $1,200 on average." It also took them an average of 60 hours of their time to resolve.

If criminals steal your identity they can leave you with bills and debts you never even knew about, leaving YOU with the job of trying to repair the damage AND your credit rating. This could take you months or even years.

"...This is a MUST READ for anyone who uses the internet..."

"When a friend suggested I read ‘Safer Passwords’ I was surprised to learn about why you should create unique passwords.

This is a must read for anyone who uses the Internet to avoid any possible threat of identity fraud".

Angela Recchia, Melbourne, Victoria

The ‘Catch-22’ problem

The more passwords you have, and the more complex they are, the harder they are to remember - if you don't have a system!

So perhaps you take the 'easy option' so you can remember them, and use the same password whenever you need one? Or maybe you use easy to remember passwords like the names or birthdates of family members or pets.

Have you ever been forced to create a complex password for a website that wouldn't let you use your regular password?  You probably ended up writing it down somewhere so you wouldn't forget it - but you're not alone if you did.

The catch-22 problem is this: how can you create secure passwords that you will remember, but nobody else will be able to work out?

Well some of the solutions I have seen have involved password generators that can create the most difficult random passwords imaginable, and then store them for you - which is just as well.

There is almost no way you can remember a complex random password unaided, and even if you could... one password just isn't enough. So now in this situation you are totally at the mercy of a program for all of your passwords - you've lost control, and ownership of your own passwords.

What happens if you get a virus on your computer and have to reinstall that software - would your passwords be lost? What if your computer is stolen?

How can you access those passwords from another computer?

Or even worse... what if you forget the master password to that program? How will you be able to access all of the passwords it is storing for you?

Personal data assistants (PDA’s) are at least more portable, but all of the other problems still apply - and it's easier to lose a PDA (or have it stolen).

For the reasons above I don't think random password generators are the answer.

But there IS an answer, and that is to learn how to create unique, secure passwords that you can easily remember.

Why do I need unique passwords?

Have you ever subscribed to information forums, affiliate programs, online messaging services, or anything else that asks you to provide a username, email address and a password? (Or even more information such as an address or date of birth).

If you were dishonest, could you think of a way to misuse this information if you could access it?

Suppose someone were able to hack into one of those accounts you had online, or tricked you into providing a password to one of your accounts?  You can limit the damage by using unique passwords for every account.

What am I risking?

How much could it cost you if you DON'T change poor password habits and protect your identity from identity theft and identity fraud?

 Safer Passwords Bullet

What is your time worth to you?  How much time do you spend trying to remember forgotten passwords?

Let's say you only forgot a password every second month (eg, 6 times per year), and it took an average of 10 minutes to get your password reset (total = 60 minutes).

According to US Dept of Labor statistics the average hourly rate in Dec 2006 was $17.05. Annual time cost due to lost passwords = $17.05.

 Safer Passwords Bullet

Does your work involve accessing a secure computer system? What if someone cracked your password and committed fraud using your login?

Sure, it's the other person committing the crime, but you may be suspended for a week while they investigate your involvement. Based on the average US weekly earnings in December 2006, this could cost you $578.00.

But what if you were terminated because they believed you were negligent by not keeping your login details more secure?

 Safer Passwords Bullet

Do you have any bank accounts, PayPal accounts or other online currency accounts? Most regular banks should refund any fraudulent withdrawals made, but some electronic currencies are less regulated.

According to the following extract from the US Federal Trade Commission's Identity Theft Survey Report 2003 (regarding misuse of credit cards and other existing accounts): "...victims estimated that they had spent $500 on average to deal with their ID Theft experience."

It also took them an average of 30 hours resolving their problems - a time cost of $511.50 (based on the average hourly rate as above).

 Safer Passwords Bullet

If someone stole your identity and started creating debts in your name, this could cost you even more! The Identity Theft survey report also stated that: "...Victims of the 'New Accounts and Other Frauds; type of ID Theft estimated that they had spent $1,200 on average."

It also took them an average of 60 hours of their time to resolve - a time cost of $1023.00 (based on the average hourly rate as above).

If you are planning on borrowing any money in the next few years, what would be the effect on your lifestyle if your credit rating was ruined and your loans rejected? How much is your happiness worth?

What if the loan was for a car or for investment purposes? Reports suggest it can take victims months or years to fix the problem, and in the meantime you're suffering for it. Cost: $Priceless

Failing to use safer passwords and protect your identity could cost you from as little as $17.05 to over $1,200, as well as countless hours of your time!

The following is a REAL LIFE EXAMPLE I received from one of my reviewers who prefers to remain anonymous (for obvious reasons). I appreciate their kindness in allowing me to share their painful story in the hope that it helps others.

"..My partner's identity was stolen some 9 or 10 years ago. It took about 5 years to clear it up.

Never did find out the "who"-- but they rented an apartment in another city my partner had never even visited, defaulted on rent, opened, then did not pay on, a telephone account and a couple department store credit cards

Didn't get as far as the bank accounts by then, we changed all the account numbers, put passwords on all the credit cards and credit reports--- difficult later to get a car loan until we "unlocked it"! We discovered it when started getting collection notices on the overdue credit cards.

When credit records were pulled, discovered the change of address, then the by then delinquent telephone account-- a huge telephone carrier in California at the time. That was the hardest to erase.

The credit card companies needed signatures to verify and soon cleared all up--- the telephone company spent years sending the account to various collection agencies who thought we had a "mother-in-law" in the other city-- had to pull utility bills, landlord bills, etc. to prove lived where we did.

As soon as one collection agency would clear the account-- even in WRITING--, the telephone company would send it then on to yet another agency and it would start all over. Finally got hold of a sympathetic ear at the phone company who stopped it.

The weird address shows up on the credit report and other databases to this day.  It was reported to the local police but they couldn't do anything about it since it seemed most of the crime was done in another city.

Fortunately no real money was lost-- just an enormous amount of time, photocopies, trying to "prove"-- made to feel guilty first-- then sympathetic-- more an emotional roller coaster and the violation of it all."

If you think none of this could possibly happen to YOU, then let me ask you a quick question.. Do you ever receive any spam emails?

If you do, then you can take that as a sign that you have enough of an online presence that criminals may already be trying to target you. (Our eBook contains articles to help you avoid spoof/phishing emails).

We are taught to look both ways for cars before crossing a road, but who teaches us about the dangers of using poor password practices?

"...it has opened up a whole new level of creating passwords I had never even thought of."

"I tell you what, I cringe now when I look back and reflect on how blasé I have been with my passwords in the past.

I am always on the computer for banking, email, forms etc and after reading the eBook I know how to take a lot more care with methods I will incorporate in order to choose a password.

For me, it has opened up a whole new level of creating passwords I had never even thought of.  You have outlined it in a simple and easy to read format that, with a bit of time and practice, will be easy to get the hang of. I like the SaferPass program!

We always hear about hackers etc on the news. It's scary, but do we really know how to protect against them?

This book has actually opened up my eyes in that respect and has given me a greater understanding from the point of view of the thief/hacker. The bonus articles are an obvious bonus.

A definite read if you want to make your passwords more secure, or to enlighten you if you don’t know much on the topic.”

Anthony Cutajar, Victoria
